How to get urgent documents to us

Q1 Can I fax documents to the processing, underwriting and completions (PUC) team?

A. Yes, where the documentation is urgent or during a postal strike.


Q2 Which documents can I fax?

A. You can fax documents relating to underwriting or name and address verification.


Q3 Is there a process I need to follow for submitting by fax?

A. Yes, you need to make sure that the documents are accompanied by your company headed notepaper.

If the documents relate to name and address verification, you must also certify them with the following notated:

  • Roll number
  • Copy of original seen
  • Your signature
  • Your name
  • Date
  • Name of firm

Where the document contains a photograph, you need to confirm 'good likeness to person'.


Q4 What fax number should I use?

A. If the documents contain the 'last item' to get the case to offer, then you need to fax it to 0845 603 9009, ensuring that the frontsheet is clearly marked as containing 'Last Item for Offer'.


Q5 What about documents that don't contain the last item for offer?

A. These should also be faxed to 0845 603 9009. They'll enter the customer's file and work queue within 48 hours of submission.


Q6 How can I be certain that the documents will go on my client's file?

A. To avoid any delays you should make sure that the roll number for the new mortgage application is prominent on every page.


Q7 Do I need to post documents after I've faxed them?

A. No. there's no requirement for the original document(s) to be posted after faxing.


Q8 How long does it take for a faxed case to be dealt with?

A. You should allow 48 hours from submission for the work to reach the customer's file. Please check 'Case Tracking' to find out what stage a case is at.
