Shared Ownership


Allows your client to buy a home in stages. Your client buys an initial percentage of the market value of the property; they own a percentage of the property and rent the remaining share. The remaining share is owned by, and rent paid to, the landlord (a Registered Social Landlord such as a Housing Association or Local Authority).

The Government's HomeBuy initiatives have introduced two types of Shared Ownership schemes:
